Amazon’s Prime Day is no longer a one-day event. Like Black Friday, it’s grown from a 24-hour celebration to a full-on shopping frenzy complete with its own countdown.
Today, Amazon officially confirmed that Prime Day 2018 will start on Monday, July 16 at 3pm ET. As it did last year, Amazon will offer a steady stream of deals leading up to Prime Day. Those deals start with $100 off its Echo Show lowering its price to $129.99 — an all-time low for this device. (It’s previous all-time low was $149.99). Other noteworthy deals include:
New for 2018, Prime members will also be able to find deals offline at Whole Foods. From July 14 through July 17, Amazon Prime Rewards Visa cardmembers with an eligible Prime membership will receive double the rewards — 10% back — when shopping at Whole Foods Market on up to a total of $400 in purchases.
Just last week, Amazon started offering Prime subscribers 10 percent off on select items at Whole Foods nationwide. This includes discounts on seafood, meats, produce, and more. Shoppers just need to download the Whole Foods app and follow the simple instructions to sync it with their Prime account. What other tricks does Amazon have up its sleeve? Stay tuned as we find out.
